Emily Fields Emily Fields joined PRISMS as the organization’s first Executive Director in January 2015. A graduate with a B.A. in Human Services from The George Washington University, Emily has a background in nonprofit management, development, and community engagement. Prior to her work with PRISMS, Emily served in the Development Office at the National Organization for Rare Diseases, supporting rare patient organizations like PRISMS. Emily is passionate about her work with PRISMS and SMS families and is looking forward to PRISMS 2018 International Conference where she can continue to build relationships with the community. Emily currently resides in Raleigh, NC where she enjoys spending time with family, trying her hand at new recipes, and seeing live shows around town.
Dianne Samad Dianne Samad, MS, CGD is PRISMS Genetic Counselor offering support for the SMS community. Dianne is a genetic counselor at the Baylor College of Medicine. In this position, Dianne works with Dr. Sarah Elsea on establishing and maintaining a registry for individuals with SMS, the overall aim of which is to improve patient care through a better understanding of the nature of the disorder. In the lab, Dianne collaborates with Dr. Elsea to coordinate and recruit participants for ongoing research studies and clinical trials for SMS. She also assists with maintaining the PRISMS website and is a person of contact for questions regarding the genetics and inheritance of SMS. Dianne got her Master's degree in genetic counseling from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) and her undergraduate degree from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in Beirut, Lebanon. 
Julie Bernatz Julie Bernatz is PRISMS Executive Assistant. In this role, she supports the Executive Director and PRISMS Board of Directors in a variety of tasks including member engagement, program planning, and administrative activities. Julie's background includes working in the travel industry as a Travel Agent, Supervisor and Account Director. After having her second child, she changed directions and became a preschool teacher and continued that for 10 years. Julie is a self-motivated, positive and an organized individual. As a result, she started her own organization business. In her free time, she enjoys any live music, Jazzercise, a good book, vacationing with her family and many outdoor adventures. 
Angela Williams Angela Williams is PRISMS Office Manager and has been with PRISMS for five years. Angela works part-time and is primarily responsible for managing all donations received. You may have met her if you attended either of the last two PRISMS conferences in St. Louis – she took your money at the merchandize desk! Originally from England, Angela lived in Northern Virginia for many years before moving to South Carolina. Professionally, she has worked for several international organizations and worn many hats from communications, human resources, marketing, customer relations management, and economic development. She also keeps busy with many volunteer roles. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, cooking, reading, golf, and can be seen at the 'Y' every morning working out.
