It’s hard to put into words how much this journey has meant to us. It wasn’t just about receiving a bed for Briggs or the bike trailer for Esme. It was about the ripple effect of kindness, one that touched not only our family but so many others. One act of generosity inspired another, and it continues to impact families in ways we could never have imagined.
Skyler holds my heart. I pray every day for his physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. I pray that the world is kind to him and has empathy. I pray that, as research develops, we will be given more tools in our toolboxes to enable us to better help our beautiful SMS individuals to succeed in every aspect of their lives.
PRISMS is pleased to announce the online publication of its first in a series of family-friendly treatment recommendations. This series is designed to provide essential information to parents, caretakers and other professionals who may be providing services to the individual with SMS but who are not SMS experts.
